Beginning with 2001, ASR-CertPers is the Authorized National Body (ANB) for the qualification/certification of the welding personnel at International/European level set up by the decision of the General Assembly of ASR from 25th October 2000. ASR-CertPers S.R.L has 2 owners: ASR with 51 % of the shares and ISIM Timisoara with 49 % of the shares. This limited company
continues the activities of ASR-CERTPERS who functioned in the frame of ASR. Its headquarters is the same as of ASR.
The organization and functioning of ASR-CertPers S.R.L. respects the rules of the International Welding Institute (IIW), and of the European Welding
Federation (EWF) for the implementation of IIW/EWF guidelines for
education, examination and qualification of welding personnel.
The ASR-CertPers S.R.L. aim is to implement at national level, the
International Welding Institute (IIW) and European Welding Federation
(EWF) guidelines, concern education, examination and qualification of the
welding personnel, e.g. International/European Welding Engineer (IWE/EWE),
International/European Welding Technologist (IWT/EWT),
International/European Welding Specialist (IWS/EWS),
International/European Welding Practitioner (IWP/EWP), European Welder
(covered electrodes, gas-shielded welding, MIG/MAG, TIG),
International/European Welding Inspector (IWI/EWI) etc.
Till the end of 2009 ASR-CertPers awarded 836 diplomas as International/European Welding
Engineer (IWE/EWE), IWS 126 diplomas and IWI-C / EWE-C diplomas.
The activity of ASR-CertPers S.R.L. is in accordance with the quality
system documented by the quality handbook and the relevant procedures.
