❯ A physical model, at nanoscale, for germination of hydrogen assisted intergranular cracking of welds

Abstract: It proposes a physical model, at a nanoscale, for the germination of hydrogen assisted intergranular cracking of welds. The model is based on: taking into consideration of concurrent action of the local plasticity mechanisms, due of hydrogen (HELP), hydrogen enhanced decohesion (HEDE) and pressure increase at the atomic hydrogen recombination into molecular hydrogen (PRM); the rapid diffusion of hydrogen through the intergranular layers and the changes of the mechanical properties of the intergranular due of impurities segregated in the layer. There are discussed, in the light of the proposed model, some ways to increase the resistance to this type of cracking and it is shown the lack of scientific support of the indicator HD100gMD.

❯ History and current technical condition of the first welded bridge from Romania

Abstract: In our country, the first welded steel bridge was erected in Reşiţa in 1937, as a highway bridge over Bârzava river, with a span of 31.42 m and a central height H = 4,0 m. It was one of the first completely welded bridges in Europe. The paper describes the present situation of the bridge in Resita, the stress analysis in the structure and proposals for the rehabilitation of the structure.

 

❯ Microbonding processes for electrical circuits

Abstract: The paper presents, in brief, large theoretical and experimental study on the characteristics of the microbondingof the elements contained by electrical circuit, on the influences revealed during the implementation of thoseprocesses and the morphological and functional characteristics of the microbonds. The aprroached processes are:euectic microbonding and laser microbonding. There are presented the gerneral and specific aspects of the two microbonding proceses and the experimental research performed to reveal the influences of different technological parameters on the morphological and functional characteristics of the bonds. Regarding the functionality it have been evaluated the contact electrical resistance.
